Bethel House, Inc. currently operates a 12-unit apartment house in Denver called Pieta House. Pieta House underwent a major renovation in 1999 and upgraded all units to be more suitable to the needs of the chronically ill. The upgrades included frost-free refrigerators, self-cleaning ovens and automatic dishwashers. Click here for interior images.
Pieta House is designed primarily for PWA's considered disabled but largely able to care for themselves. Clients pay 30% of their income for rent. More than 90% of our clients pay less than half of fair market value.
Bethel offers assistance in a variety of 12-step program for its residents and gives housing priority to PWA's recovering from substance abuse.
Bethel House, Inc. is solely responsible for the mortgage payment, building repairs and general maintenance.
